RED MOUNTAIN OPEN SPACE
Colorado State University's Sara Hanneman from the Campus Recreation Outdoor Program lead a group of women to Red Mountain Open Space. It is located just 25 miles north from Fort Collins - a 45 minute drive. It sits on the Colorado-Wyoming border, and has been inhabited for over 12,000 years. This protected place is home to rattle snakes, bees, streams, and artifacts from early settlers. On September 8th, 2018, seven young women hiked three miles into the canyon in search of a suitable yoga spot. The intention of this trip was to practice yoga in the wild to ensure a deeper connection with nature.
